Sarnath's Dhamek Stupa and ancient monastic ruins draw pilgrims and scholars alike seeking spiritual wisdom. In Bihar, Bodhgaya stands as the pinnacle of Buddhist pilgrimage, where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Nearby Nalanda was a renowned center of Buddhist learning, while Rajgir hosted important discourses by Buddha.
